The Mod Squad: Part Deux
Sipping in style.

These funky straws added a touch of whimsy, and made drinking our morning juice (or let's be real, mimosas and cocktails) even more fun.

Colorful cacti

The bright flowers of these local flora made for a colorful centerpiece that perfectly echoed the rainbow hues of The Saguaro.

Not your average punch.

Inflatable flamingos, swirled straws, quirky sippy cups, and punch served out of a shell - these kitschy accents added a subtle, but playful element to the brunch.

Made in the shade

Umbrellas in pops of sunshine yellow kept our Mod Squad cool and comfortable. Big thanks to Maptotes, Steel Life, HauteLook, and JUST Water for providing goodies for these special Mod Squad gift bags.

Feast for the eyes (and stomach)

Chef Jose Garces prepared a brunch that tantalized the eyes as much as our palates, with offerings like this Ceviche de Camarones (shrimp, spicy tomato, avocado, and plantain chips)

Summer Meza, Julian & Desiree Goldklang, Heather Williams, Jen Pinkston, Casey Keasler, Olivia Lopez, Katie Thierjung, Kat Westerman, and Esther Lee were our roving eyes and ears around town during the second weekend of Modernism Week. Check out the #PSModSquad hashtag on Instagram to see some of their snaps!

We wrapped up the final weekend of Modernism Week with plenty of color, food, and Instagrams. Big thanks to this year’s Mod Squad!

With fresh eyes and freshly juiced external batteries to charge their phones with, our second Mod Squad group joined us for the final weekend of Modernism Week. The Saguaro once again hosted a beautiful brunch prepared by celebrity chef Jose Garces that was truly Instagram-worthy, from the Tinto Eggs Benedict (Chorizo pamplona, brioche, black truffle hollandaise) and Torrijas (citrus-vanilla French toast topped with berries and whipped cream), to the funky “Saguaro” straws and cactus centerpieces that decorated each table. Click to meet the Mod Squad and get inspiration for hosting your own desert-themed get-together!
